Manufacturing

A cloud migration factory, not a cloud migration project.

A best-practice cloud architecture playbook, a full application inventory scored on the 5Rs, and a global factory operating model — with external partners — to migrate at scale under control.

The situation

Migrating an industrial manufacturer's application estate to cloud one project at a time would take a decade and produce a different architecture every quarter. Scale required an industrial answer: standards, an inventory, and a factory.

What we did

  • 01Built a best-practice cloud architecture playbook — the standards every migration would follow.
  • 02Ran a detailed inventory of the full application estate and scored every application on the 5Rs (rehost, replatform, refactor, rebuild, retire).
  • 03Designed a global factory operating model to execute migrations at scale in a controlled, repeatable way.
  • 04Structured partnerships with external partners to give the factory the capacity the timeline demanded.

The outcome

  • Large-scale cloud migration running as a governed factory — repeatable, measured, and architecture-consistent.
  • A disposition decision for every application in the estate, not just the easy ones.
